•Cathy
and Paul are the only two human family members left living in the
home*
-you may get a sighting of their 3 adult children while you are
their guest
-particularly lucky visitors may see the adored grandchild born
in 2009.
Paul aims to please yet generally is
most comfortable behind the scenes making sure the place is ready
for our guests' arrival.
Cathy, who attended Ryerson's Hospitality
and Tourism program back in the 70's thrives on the people contact,
especially when it gives her the chance to practice speaking French
with new friends.
French
is spoken here.
•Support
staff generally fall into the four legged category, we have...
... two
dogs, Blue and Belle
-female
blue merle Scottish Collies,
-known
to be a timid breed, are in fact very shy
-would
prefer to be admired from a distance
.... two short haired cats, (thanks
to a visiting guest who went cat-hunting with Cathy when visiting
here
from England~:)
-our
guest thought the cats should be named Empty and Nester
but they are called Button and Blaze
-they
are not supposed to be in guest rooms but sometimes convince guests
otherwise
-Button &
Blaze particularly like to visit in The Master's Den, a quick opening
of the door allows them to exit
the suite
quickly
...two
horses, Abbey and Legacy, Rocky Mountain mares
-are
on the property, in our paddocks
-thankfully,
they are not encouraged to spend any time in the house
-regretfully
they are not for riding purposes, for us or our guests
We hope
guests will not be intimidated by our entourage given that it is our aim to
meet the highest standards that will make your stay a most enjoyable one. Please
note that as we don't have a staff per se we will request an arrival
time window in your confirmation process.
That way, we can practise our reception skills to the max!
*n.b. Other human members have not been killed off,
they just grew up & moved~:)
